3 (Three) months extension for Completion of Real Estate Project on account of COVID - 19, pandemic.
In view of the country-wide lockdown on account of the novel
coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic, the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory
Authority (MahaRERA) has decided to extend the validity period for registration
of real estate projects, whose date of completion or for that matter extended
completion date gets over on or after March 15, for a period of three
months. The authority has also extended the time limits of all statutory
compliances in accordance with the Real Estate (Regulation and Development)
Act, 2016 that were due in March, April and May to June 30.
Previously, Kerala RERA also has passed an order to extend the
date of submission of applications for registration (u/s 3 of RERA) of ongoing
real estate projects without penalty till 15th May 2020.
